Micro Printing references the microscopic lettering that appears in the border of each prescription blank. The Secure Background Color of every National Rx Script is a special patterned green color (Prescriptions for the state of New Jersey are blue). If attempting to copy a National Rx prescription, a Screen showing the word “VOID” will appear. Thermocratic Ink refers to a special area on the back of each blank where there is an image of a thumbprint. When rubbed vigorously, the word “SAFE” becomes visible. Each script is also equipped with Security Ink, preventing erasures and/or alterations by solvents. Every National Rx Security prescription pad is printed using recycled paper and soy ink.
